When you have a home with beautiful views you want to be able to see them, right?  This home had an amazing outdoor space but with a closed off layout that limits your view and your access to that space, its time for an overhaul!

Not only were the top 2 floors of this home completely gutted and reinvigorated but the exterior decks were re-done with custom large format tiles on a floating pedestal system with basalt borders. The main deck was increased in size with glass railings to maximize the view.  Gone is the one single swinging door to the main deck and in its place is a large glass slider.  These lucky homeowners can now sit inside or out and still see straight out to the waterfront.

This early 90s home had 3 walls removed on the main floor which involved installing 2 large steel beams.  Now this modern and bright kitchen is open with sightlines into the dining room which features a new clear story window.  With its gleaming smooth countertops, counter to ceiling backsplash and custom hood over the range, not only is this kitchen functional and beautiful, but also ready to entertain.

This client also desired a warm and inviting office space with custom bookshelf.  This office space now has tons of storage and is much more conducive to a productive work environment.

The transformation doesn’t stop there!  This home was also outfitted with an all new mechanical high efficiency heating system, an added skylight to the north facing guest bathroom and all new windows and doors throughout. A perfect balance of adding in the light while maintaining the warmth.

Finally, a completely re-designed front entrance was built with custom local basalt walkway and stairs. A metal feature wall helps give the front entrance some curb appeal and improved layout and flow.  The view of the front now matches the incredible views from the back and every space in between.
