This well-loved family home had seen its fair share of changes over the years. After raising not one, not two, but four boys within its walls, it was time for the space to mature and make room for the next chapter. Strategic changes from the exterior throughout the interior to the new back deck ushered these homeowners into that new chapter in style.

The brand-new front door welcomes you into the foyer, where you’ll find an updated main staircase. Gone are the white wood pickets and carpeted stairs, and it’s in place a black wrought iron railing with hardwood stairs to match the newly re-finished floor on the main level.

The living room and family room each have a new fireplace with a modern tile and wood surround, taking advantage of each room’s layout to add flair and function. We added new pot lights throughout, which brightens each room and helps show off its recent facelift.

Each bathroom was taken down to the studs and outfitted with custom tile work and heated floors for warmth. We added custom vanities with loads of storage topped with quartz countertops to the bathrooms, as was a seamless glass shower wall to keep the room feeling open and spacious.

The kitchen is a masterpiece with quartz countertops to match those in the bathrooms. The floor to ceiling cabinetry keeps things tidy and contains creative touches like the mixer stand that swings seamlessly out from the cabinet below the counter. Talk about innovation! Structural walls were removed in the kitchen to open sightlines to the living room and the fantastic new back deck, a pivotal addition to this rejuvenated home.

Just beyond the added French doors is where you will find the fantastic outdoor space created by the addition of a new deck. Post and beam structure made from Whistler old growth fir, a heater discretely attached above the French doors, custom lighting AND skylights built into the vaulted wood ceiling makes this entertaining outdoor area just as warm and inviting as the interior.

After all their hard work raising a busy family, these homeowners can sit back and enjoy their new retreat. This renovation also allowed them to give back to the home that endures it all and saw them through all of life’s changes.
